eliza and her husband were walking around the busy streets of new york together, and she had invited him to a market. they were selling foods and stuff on the streets, and it was where eliza mainly got the food. however, today was a little different, she was getting a lot of FREE stuff. men kept handing her free food, telling her that it was ‘on the house’ or ‘for the beautiful lady’. they seemed to FORGET that alexander was standing right next to her. she then heard his question, and she was about to open her mouth when the man handed eliza the fruit she had wanted. ❛ FREE of charge. ❜ were his only words, before there was that simple wink.
she turned to him and shrugged, letting out a slight laugh. ❛ i could only guess that it’s because i’m a woman, and a rich one at that. men tend to think if they charm me enough i’ll marry them, but all you had to do was give me that look of happiness in your wonderful eyes, my love. you know how HELPLESS i am for you. ❜ her hand went up to his cheek, and she sent him a warm smile, leaning in and placing a kiss on his lips. ❛ but don’t be jealous, once they find out that there is a baby inside of me, we won’t be getting ANY free items. ❜ she reminded him, letting go of his cheek before she reached into the basket, holding up a brand new quill. ❛ the one you have now is SO worn out, at least one good thing comes out of this. ❜
